Our Story
The journey of Valgusto Lumière began with a shared love for design, history, and the golden glow of retro interiors. We spent years collecting, studying, and restoring 1980s vintage lamps, fascinated by their sculptural silhouettes and unique ability to set a mood. Yet, we also saw the challenges: authentic vintage pieces are rare, fragile, and often impractical for modern homes.
So, we asked ourselves a question: What if we could capture the magic of 1980s vintage design—but build it for today’s world?
That question became the foundation of Valgusto Lumière. Each lamp we create is designed in Latvia and produced with a perfect balance of traditional artistry and modern technology. Do you offer international shipping?
At the moment, we ship exclusively within Europe. As a small studio, we want to ensure every lamp is delivered with care. In the future, we plan to expand worldwide, so customers outside Europe can also enjoy Valgusto Lumière.
How long does delivery take?
Since every lamp is handmade and prepared with care, delivery times may vary. We always ship as quickly as possible, but the exact timing depends on your location within Europe. Once your order is on its way, we’ll send you tracking details so you can follow its journey.
Are your lamps really handmade?
Yes—every single lamp is crafted by us in our Leopold, Latvia workshop. From shaping materials to finishing details, each design is handmade with patience, precision, and even a bit of old-fashioned love. We treat every order individually, packaging each lamp with care (yes, sometimes even with gloves!) so that it arrives safely to your home.
Can I return or exchange a lamp?
Of course. If for any reason your lamp doesn’t feel right for your space, you can return it within 14 days of receiving it. We kindly ask that the lamp is returned in its original condition and packaging. Exchanges are also available—our goal is to make sure you are fully happy with your purchase.
Do your lamps come with a warranty?
Yes. All Valgusto Lumière lamps come with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong with your lamp during that period, simply contact us—we’ll repair it, replace it, or find a solution that works for you.
